Lonsdale Dance Scottish - Beginner Class

The Gleneagles and Deep Cove Scottish Country Dance clubs are co-sponsoring Lonsdale Dance Scottish - a beginner class for dancers on the North Shore.

The classes will be held on Tuesday nights from 7 to 9 pm. The Fall session will start on September 19. The venue is the Silver Harbour Centre located at  144 -22nd St East in North Vancouver.  The class will be taught by Alison Moen.

You don't need a partner, kilt or even a Scottish background. All are welcome. 


FAQ's

 1. Do I need to bring a partner or can I come alone?

You do not need a partner. Scottish Country Dancing is done in groups or sets and we move around. 

2. What kind of clothes should I wear?

Wear something comfortable and easy to move around in. Flexible shoes with some padding are good to start with. Runners will work for this class.

3. Can I bring friends?  

Definitely. You are very welcome and even encouraged to bring friends.

4. Do I need to be vaccinated. 

Yes - full vaccination is a requirement.

A Fun Afternoon of Scottish Dancing

The Gleneagles Club holds a “Fall Dance” in late October,. The fifty plus dancers who attend are from the Gleneagles Club as well as from other groups in the lower mainland and from south of the border. The program has some newly learned dances as well as many long time favourites. The music is from our large collection of Scottish Country Dance tunes
